Doesn't seem to be your own work.

I felt like I had seen this before, and since it seriously lacks the game features (despite having a nice looking ball) I decided to google a bit. Look what it brought up, a tutorial with even the same layout for blocks:

You're only supposed to post your own work. What you've basically done here is that you've added a title there and added some glow to the blocks. That hardly qualifies as your own work!

Balanced gameplay!

This game has a balanced gameplay. It's not just rushing against enemies and smacking or shooting them. Skills and a little bit (but not too much) thinking is needed, but you still catch the idea very fast. The challenge curve is well thought of too.

ps. Dang, I was about to throw the last fish on 3-3, but then a mine suddenly appeared out of the oil at exactly the wrong place. Maybe I'll have to try again at some point.

A great concept!

Pros:
+ The concept
+ Graphics and music
+ Shop system
+ Plenty of action

Cons:
- There is room for improvement in the enemy mechanics
- The items should be more effective. And why does the ladder disappear if I put a somewhat uneffective bomb there?
- For player convenience the items should be ordered and/or colored according to whether they are used in Hell or Heaven.

More fun than many of the more elaborate games

A nice first attempt. And plus points for the "epic item".

ps. Getting the first weapon (which you by the way are able to pick up more than once) could have had significance.

Looks good, but isn't that much fun

Like someone stated, there are many games like this. This is technically well done, and looks really good, but unfortunately that's not that essential for a good game.

Good for what it is

It actually kept me interested enough to play it through, which I can very rarely say about games of this genre. So, in case you like multiple choice text games, I recommend trying this out.

The music gets a bit tedious though.

Excellent epitome of RPG's

Constantly pressing space hardly sounds fun now does it? This isn't even like the One Button Bob, where timing is of the essence. Yet, with its on-the-spot music and all the those RPG adventure cliches it creates a surprisingly epic feeling, and actually pretty much feels like a game when you first play it through.

Real RPG games often don't really offer THAT much more: a storyline accompanied with great music, and a little bit of tinkering with some character stats and equipment. But even so, they can be very entertaining. Thus, this Super PSTW Action RPG is both a mockery of and a tribute to many past RPG's.

I've been looking for freedom.
